Smithfield – The Third Oldest Town in the Free State! Ep 205
As we arrived in Smithfield, we could see that this was a well-organised and very neat Free State town. Driving through the streets, the houses ranked among the nicest we have seen in any other town on our travels. It has its fair share of problems like most towns, but the community is clearly working hard to stay ahead so that they don’t end up like many of other little places which are way beyond repair. It was very interesting to find out that it is the third oldest town in the Free State. The old abandoned school hostel was a very interesting place to visit, not to mention the beautiful Town Hall, I can just imagine the dances and functions happening there in the 1930’s and 40’s. Then it was time for us to head to Mud Manna. What a fantastic place to stay for the night! I take my hat off to the host, she truly has vision and serious get-up-and-go! #DustBugs #adventuretravel #southafrica #southafricavlog #smithfield #freestate Instagram / dustbugstravel Facebook / dustbugstravel Twitter / dustbugstravel Pinterest / dustbugstravel
