Global Health Case Competition 2022 1st Place
Over 50 graduate and undergraduate students presented their team proposals on improving maternal health services in Rohingya refugee camps in Cox’s Bazaar Bangladesh, to judges Dr. Donald Burke, Dr. Martha Terry, Dr. Darius Bittle Dockery, and Ms. Whitney Abbott, at the 2022 Global Health Case Competition. The month-long series is hosted by the Center for Global Health and the Center for Global Studies. Every team presented a compelling project, but two teams stood out. Congratulations to the 1st and 2nd place teams! 1st Place Team: Jorge Gumucio, graduate student, Behavioral and Community Health Sciences; Sophia Sliter-Hays, Sophomore, Microbiology; Brandon Lee, Sophomore, Statistics; Shaharoz Tahir, Sophomore, Bioengineering; Alexandra Lewis, graduate student, Behavioral and Community Health Sciences; Cecilia Schiavoni, Freshman Chemistry; and Luke McGonigal, Senior, Natural Sciences The first-place team will go on to participate in the Emory University Morningside Case Competition in Atlanta, Georgia.
