Ever had a fishing rod break and thought it was done for? So did we. After returning from an unforgettable fishing trip in Destin, Florida, one of our favorite fishing rods mysteriously snapped. Instead of throwing it away, we decided to see if we could bring it back to life with a simple fishing rod tip repair kit. In this video, we walk through the entire rod repair process, including: How to repair a broken fishing rod tip Installing a replacement rod tip Cutting and preparing the blank Testing the repaired fishing rod Once the repair is finished, we head to one of our favorite neighborhood ponds to see if it actually works. The boys spend the afternoon catching bluegill off active spawning beds, while we also hook into a couple of bass that unfortunately come unbuttoned before making it to shore.
