First Reaction on the first SkyFlyers ride at Asiatique the Riverfront Destination. Designed by Austrian company Funtime, the Star Flyers model will take 24 riders on a 135-meter-high spin above the Chao Phraya River. Riders are locked in two stages with a seatbelt and a special locking system between their legs that cannot be removed by the rider. Sensors detect the locking system, preventing the ride from functioning if it's not locked properly. The ride has also been inspected by TÜV Nord, a world-renowned testing company. The ride's designers have designed it to be as open as possible, offering the feeling of real flight, while maintaining maximum safety. As the ride begins to rotate, centripetal force pushes riders comfortably into their seats. The scenery at the top is stunning. We recommend going in the evening before sunset for even more spectacular views. Oh, and the wind is strong and the weather is incredibly cool at the top right now. There are two operating modes: 1. Spin up to the top, spin for a long spin, and then land. 2. Spin up to the top, drop halfway, return to the top, and then land. (I really like this program.) This is one of the rides I highly recommend. The view from the top is stunning and it's incredibly comfortable. Ticket price: 320 baht per person. GoPro camera rentals are available for 250 baht. There's no weight limit, but you must be able to sit and wear a seat belt. You must be at least 120 cm tall. ^^
