The plaintiff rented an apartment from the defendant. He says he started to feel sick while living there, and argues his illness was caused by mold. He’s suing for the cost of a mold test, moving expenses, and a hotel stay. The defendant says the mold was found in the basement and the plaintiff never lived there, so he doesn’t owe him any money.
