Idangoda is 30 miles North and closer to the sources with less tourists and foreign buyers than Ratnapura. I saw more precious jewels and the sellers were more willing to sell and negotiate than rip me off. It goes from 8-12am on Saturday. There are at least 5 more markets around the island.
