As in previous installments, the open world isn't a 1:1 reconstruction of a specific area within a given country, but instead focuses on iconic locations, faithfully recreating the local atmosphere. In Forza Horizon 6, we visit Tokyo ("the most complex" city in the series' history to date, five times larger than Guanajuato from Forza Horizon 5"), but we can also see Mount Fuji. The developers aimed to deliver the most diverse locations associated with Japan – from the streets of the massive metropolis (with the highways hanging above them), through picturesque rural areas, to mountain serpentines perpetually covered in snow. The season system from previous Forza Horizon installments further enhances the game's diversity, with a more pronounced emphasis than in Forza Horizon 5.
