This is just one link in the chain of the transnational diamond smuggling ring recently dismantled by the Thanh Hoa Provincial Police. According to investigators, this smuggling ring was operated from abroad, following a multi-tiered, closed-loop model, with ringleaders being Indian nationals residing in Hong Kong (China). In just over a year, this group is accused of smuggling more than 28,000 diamonds into Vietnam, generating estimated revenue of approximately 280 billion VND.
