The perpetrator is a 27-year-old man originally from Guinea, with no criminal record, who, according to the Carabinieri, was clearly impaired by alcohol. After harassing customers, he also threatened a member of staff, necessitating the intervention of law enforcement. However, upon the arrival of the Carabinieri from the Montebelluna Mobile Radio Operations Unit, the situation further escalated. The young man attacked the officers and the Suem 118 emergency medical service personnel, who intervened to assist him and try to calm him down. Screams, sirens, and moments of high tension attracted the attention of local residents. After considerable difficulty, the officers managed to subdue the 27-year-old after two hours and took him to the Montebelluna command post. He was arrested on charges of threatening and resisting a public official. He will appear before a judge on Sunday morning for a validation hearing.
