Navaratri is an annual Hindu festival in the honour of the goddess Durga. The Navratri Festival takes place every year and lasts for 9 nights. . During these nine nights and ten days, nine forms of Shakti/Devi are celebrated at the Sri Maha Mariamman Temple but it’s often referred to as Wat Khaek in Thai located on Silom Road. The actual street festival in bangkok takes place on the final day and begins at Wat Khaek temple, a Hindu temple on Silom Road, and stretches all the way to Sathon Road, in the financial district of Bangkok. this day is one ne of the biggest nights for Hindu in Bangkok - Navratri Festival - the last night on October 5th ?2022 , lets you all watch and enjoy with me together. On this walk you will experience people dancing, singing, lighting incense, and preparing offerings. While they walk through the streets, we can observe thousands of people, bare-foot, sat on the ground, chanting, and reaching out to the monks.It's quite a spectacle, and an amazing cultural experience in Bangkok. Each year thousands of worshipers gather around the Sri Maha Mariamman Temple in Bangkok to celebrate the Hindu Navaratri Festival to worship nine forms of the Hindu God Uma Devi. It is striking to see the mostly Buddhist Thais make this Hindu festival their own, distinctly Thai touches. Most notable to me were the entranced and screaming devotees that could be seen everywhere.
