Kapıkaya Canyon is located in Kapıkaya village in the Karaisalı district of Adana province. The canyon was carved by the Çakıt Stream, a tributary of the Seyhan River. The Çakıt Stream is the western tributary of the Seyhan River and extends from the Pozantı Gorge towards the mountainous areas. The canyon is 2 km from the Varda Bridge. The vegetation around the canyon consists of oleander, olive, carob, and plane trees. 7.25 km of the 20 km long canyon has been developed as a hiking trail, suitable for nature walks. [1] Efforts are being made to make the canyon a center of attraction for nature tourism. The Yerköprü picnic area and the canyon road have been connected by a newly constructed bridge. A 7,250 m hiking trail has been created, and a wooden viewing platform has been built in an area overlooking the waterfall. A railing has been installed on the steep 400-meter section, and the path has been widened in narrow areas.
