Got My Butt Kicked Cycling Over Coal Bank and Molas Passes in Colorado - Cycling Across USA - S4 E24

Two high mountain passes on Colorado's Highway 550 were in my path cycling from Durango to Silverton. Took close to 6,000 feet of elevation gain in just over 50 miles to get there. The scenery of the San Juan Mountains was spectacular and two sets of downhill action rewarded me plenty. Silverton, a Victorian Mining Town, is nestled in a canyon surrounded by giant mountain tops in every direction.
