Lintasan Sejarah Kota Parepare Sulawesi Selatan

Parepare is an important port city in South Sulawesi with a long history dating back to the kingdom era. This region was once under the influence of the Suppa Kingdom and the Bacukiki Kingdom, two coastal kingdoms that played a major role in the maritime trade routes in Parepare Bay. Over time, Parepare grew into a strategic port connecting the interior of Sulawesi with the western part of the Indonesian archipelago. During the Dutch colonial period, the city served as an administrative center and a port for agricultural exports. After the Proclamation of Indonesian Independence, Parepare officially became part of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia and continued to develop as a trading city, port, and important connecting route in the western region of South Sulawesi. This video examines the historical trajectory of Parepare City from the kingdom era, colonial era, to the era of Indonesian independence. #Parepare #ParepareHistory #HistoricalTrajectory #SouthSulawesiHistory #IndonesiaHistory #SuppaKingdom #BacukikiKingdom #PortCity #NusantaraHistory
