🥪 Soft Sandwich Bread Recipe Ingredients • 200 ml warm water(1 cup) • 200 ml warm milk(1cup) • 50 g butter (softened) • 1 egg white • 2 tbsp sugar • 1 tsp salt • 20 g fresh yeast • 600–650 g flour (about 5–5½ cups) For topping • 1 egg yolk • 2 tbsp milk • Sesame seeds ⸻ Instructions 1. Activate the yeast • In a bowl, mix warm water, milk, sugar, and yeast and egg, white and butter mix • Let sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy. 2. Make the dough • Add salt. • Gradually mix in flour until a soft, slightly sticky dough forms. 3. Knead • Knead for about 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic. 4. First rise • Cover and let rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled. 5. Shape • Divide or shape into a loaf and place in a greased pan. 6. Second rise • Let rise again for 30–40 minutes. 7. Top • Mix egg yolk and brush on top. • Sprinkle sesame seeds. 8. Bake • Bake at 180°C (350°F) for about 25–30 minutes, until golden brown.
