welcome back ! We are Michael and Acacia travelling South Africa full time in our self converted van. In this video we are roadtripping the entire Route 62 showcasing campsites and activities along the way. Making our way from Franschoek to Jefferies Bay! This is one of the longest wine routes in the world! The Cape Route 62 stretches across the Western and Eastern Capes of South Africa. This scenic route passes through farming towns such as Joubertina (Suikerbossie mountain cabin Airbnb is a must!), Calitzdorp, Ladismith (Oaks Rest Vinyards Campsite), Barrydale (make sure to stop at Diesel & Crème for a milkshake!) and Montagu (keep an eye out for the arch rock over the road) Guano caves resort - insane heated pools, large touch farm, Mountain View’s Oaks Rest Vinyards - our favourite campsite of 2022! Only 5 sites situated on a dam with mountains all around, very remote Eagles View campsite - grassy sites with weeping willow trees with Mountain View’s and a epic walk/ cycle to a waterfall. Suikerbossie Mountain cabin AirBnB - a MUST visit , very remote and off the grid with no other people insight! Surrounded only by the mountains with the most incredible sunrises and sunsets.
