Crosswind Landing Practice in X-Plane

Have you ever tried practicing crosswinds in your simulator? This video will give you an inside look at a recent remote coaching session focused on improving crosswind control techniques. This unique exercise, called "Dragging the Runway," comes from the Pilot Exercise Program by PilotWorkshops. It involves flying low approaches and maintaining centerline via crabbing and slipping techniques. It also involves offsetting left/right of the centerline in a deliberate, controlled way. The objective is to hone your ability to correct for wind drift and put the airplane exactly where you want. Would you like to work with your own online flight instructor?
