Exploring The Port Town of Olden, Norway.

Olden is a small, picturesque village in Norway, located at the inner end of the Nordfjord in Vestland county. It is primarily known as a major tourist hub and a gateway to some of Norway's most spectacular natural wonders, including: • Briksdal Glacier (Briksdalsbreen): A famous arm of the massive Jostedalsbreen glacier. • Loen Skylift: One of the steepest cable cars in the world, offering panoramic views from Mount Hoven. The village is a popular stop for cruise ships, offering access to dramatic fjords, mountains, and glacial lakes. Historical landmarks include the 18th-century Old Olden Church. The small village of Olden has a population of around 500 to 670 residents, The Old Olden Church (Olden gamle kyrkje) is a historic, white wooden church built in 1759. It is architecturally unique as the only cruciform (cross-shaped) church in the Nordfjord region, a design chosen for its resistance to strong winds. It now primarily serves as a museum and tourist attraction after being replaced as the main parish church in 1934.
