How to make an Authentic Cuban Mojito

While traveling, I was able to film this video at Madrigal Bar & Cafe in Havana, Cuba. We had a blast filming on location with their head bartender, Juan Carlos. Despite a bit of a language barrier, we had a ton of fun and laughed. Madrigal Bar & Cafe - https://madrigalbarcafe.wordpress.com/ The Cuban Mojito Recipe A Barspoon of cane sugar - Sugar in the Raw or Turbinado would work. A splash of fresh lime juice A splash of club soda A sprig of mint Muddle these all together in the glass without destroying the mint. Stir all the ingrediants. 50ml or about 1 1/2 oz of a white rum - IF you can get Havana Club 3 year - that's preferred but very difficult to get in the US. Stir to mix the ingredients then add ice cubes & top off with more club soda. Add Angostura Cocoa bitters - maybe a dash or two and then garnish with a mint sprig.
