Transforming Three Inexpensive Ride Cymbals
Follow me as I modify three entry-level ride cymbals into professional-sounding jazz rides. Let me know what you think in the comments! www.seifriedcymbals.com facebook.com/seifriedcymbals Audio for the demos were recorded with just a pair of Oktava MK-012-01 mics in an X-Y orientation above the kit and out a little bit (you can see the mic stand). Recorded onto a Behringer XR12. Only very slight EQ was applied in post in order to compensate for the characteristics of the mics and sound more like it does in the room. The sticks used are Zildjian John Riley Concert Jazz (hickory) and Vater Jazz Ride (Hickory).
