3 great days of cave & cavern diving all within 1 hour radius of Crystal River Florida with American Pro Diving Center. Dive sites include: Blue Grotto, Devil's Den, Paradise Springs, Catfish Hotel, and Manatee Springs. See Chapters for specific dive sites. Notes: All these sites are fed by fresh water springs and constant 72 degrees. Blue Grotto, more cavern than cave. Decent amount of fish that will come up to you as they think you have turtle food. Devil's Den, far more tight swim throughs and more of a caving experience at times. Paradise Springs, requires at least advance cert and recommend nitrox if available. Have to stop at 100ft unless have true cave cert. Alot of fossils at this site, but very little wildlife. Will see small crawfish that are completely translucent because of the lack of light. The small opening looks amazing from depth in the sunlight. Catfish Hotel, If there are beginners down there they will stir up alot of silt and visibility can be poor. Top of pond is covered in duckweed and recommend diving this before Manatee springs so you can wash off. Lot's of small catfish and occasional turtles. Manatee Springs, crystal clear water, very shallow and lots of interesting underwater vegetation, some fish.
