My "new" Federal Sign & Signal 2T22A
Here it is folks, my first full scale siren! This is a 2T22A that came from Glenwood Elementary School (2500 Northmoor Ave) in Waukegan, IL last February. This siren is believed to be from either the 60's or 70's. I want to give a very special thanks to Holly, Mitchell, my parents, and my uncle for helping move this beast. This siren was sold to me by a fellow enthusiast (also named Chris) in Vernon Hills. I plan on refurbishing this siren eventually and then getting it on a trailer to take to tests and meet ups to set it off. I will keep everyone posted on refurbishment as it goes along, but I have no idea how spaced apart different phases of restoring it will be, keep in mind. This siren was recorded up close a few years ago when it was still on its pole by amtrak3501: • Waukegan, IL 2T22 Siren Test Alert and Attack
