The trial is still ongoing. The tragic incident, as a reminder, occurred last October. Little Zera underwent simultaneous dental treatment for 18 teeth. The state prosecutor announced the results of the examination today. Our correspondent Asemgul Kasenova attended the hearing. ASEMGUL KASENOVA – CORRESPONDENT The prosecutor spoke at today's hearing. According to the case file, little Zera needed an additional consultation with a pediatrician. The girl's father, however, says she suffered from pneumonia seven months before the incident. In this footage, little Zera is being administered inhalation anesthesia. Her parents and five-year-old sister, who, incidentally, had also previously had dental treatment at this clinic, are nearby. Surveillance video from that very same dental office was shown in court today. Here, they had already begun treatment for all 18 of her teeth. It's clear from this: nothing foreshadowed the tragedy. However, after anesthesia lasting more than three hours, the girl never woke up. YERKEBULAN SHALKAROV – PROSECUTOR Kumarov's complaint regarding the quality of medical services provided by Son Kon Han Dent Park Ortho LLC to his daughter, Esentai, was found to be justified. Based on this forensic autopsy, tissue hypoxia developed due to medical sedation and artificial ventilation, combined with lobar bronchopneumonia and cardiovascular failure. This subsequently led to cerebral edema and death. At today's hearing, the state prosecutor read the results of the medical and pharmaceutical control committee's examination. According to their data, anesthesia was administered despite contraindications: low platelets and electrolytes. Furthermore, Zere, who had previously suffered from pneumonia twice, required additional consultation with a pediatrician. The child was not fully examined, the experts stated. According to the father, during the preliminary diagnostics, doctors stated that the girl had no heart-related pathologies. TALGAT KUMAROV – ASTANA RESIDENT When we had our tests done, yes, there were some abnormalities, such as the white blood cell count, as the specialists stated, being slightly elevated compared to the norms, but this should have been specifically highlighted by the medical specialists, as they were already responsible for the medical procedures and procedures. Accordingly, they should have notified us of any potential risks. The girl's father emphasized that he had clarified whether the treatment stages could be separated. His lawyer added that the parents were informed that Zere needed 18 teeth treated at once only after she was anesthetized. The initial treatment plan involved teeth 9-11. The parents are now asking for the investigation into the clinic to be continued and for the dentist to be held accountable. Meanwhile, the anesthesiologist remains in the dock. Her lawyer stated in an interview that they disagree with the cause of death listed in the official documents and are requesting further questioning of the specialists. The cause of death itself determines the causal relationship and the subsequent actions of all the specialists involved, namely the anesthesiologist, dentist, and clinic. Representatives of the clinic were not present at the hearing today. Neither was the dentist who treated Zere. The trial will continue next week.
