THE STORY OF IRWELL HOUSE - A SALFORD DOCUMENTARY

A recent conversation with my dad had me intrigued.... He told me of a mansion house that once stood proudly in Drinkwater Park. The history of the building is somewhat vague. In some respects theres a lot of information...but then there are huge gaps...years of obscurity..missing time. Owned by the Drinkwater family, it then fell into the hands of Salford & Prestwich council who turned the beautiful Georgian building into a Smallpox hospital! This was to deal with the national pandemic of Smallpox...But this was just the tip of the iceberg! What I uncovered, researched & found is nothing more than fascinating! I honestly can't wait to share this video with you all!
