Douglas Fir
In this new episode Mauro transforms a beautiful material of Douglas Fir into a promising bonsai . Collected Douglas Firs (Pseudotsuga menzeisii glauca) have awesome bark, and great short needles very similar to European silver spruce ( abete bianco ) . Fir is Perfect for bonsai!!!! This is a species that is quickly gaining popularity in the Northern part of the US with bonsai enthusiasts! These are a high mountain tree from the Sierra and the Rocky Mountains , so they may not do well in the South, unless you get a significantly cold winter. Mauro explains the best way to pick the front for this tree in order to create a unique design. Follow the entire transformation and learn more about wiring by looking the related video from the channel. Enjoy !!!! Instagram: @Bonsaidream Facebook: Mauro Stemberger Email: [email protected]
