This song was written and composed by Dr. Leeroy Elisha in 1994 after the volcanic eruption in Rabaul, Papua New Guinea. It was written in Tok Pisin, the creole of Papua New Guinea. Dr. Elisha is from the Solomon Islands. It was later translated into tokples Lou by Judge Mark Sevua and is sung by the Lou Island Choir as seen here. Lou Island Choir is from Manus Province, Papua New Guinea 🇵🇬
