I went on an expedition to the Takatsu River in Shimane Prefecture to try sweetfish fishing. The river was in good condition after flooding. Taking into consideration the water level and the width of the river, I used the Special Trusty 90 rod, released in 2026. It was my first time fishing on the Takatsu River in several years, and it was late September, so net fishing was allowed, and it was my first time at this spot. It was a bit of a trial and error fishing, but as the water temperature rose... woah! My wife and I were very satisfied with the fishing trip.
