Yesterday I came across this outstanding design choice by insta360 for Luna Ultra. Luna Ultra uses rec2020 Wide Color Gamut HDR vs rec709 Small Color Gamut that P4 uses. I didn't know and haven't seen anyone report this. I am sharing with you because it is massive. OLED screens, HDR plus 10 TV's and such have much more to offer with rec2020. We are missing it. I know, 80 percent are watching on their phones and who cares. Phones are pushing way past 1000 nits now days. It's all good but Luna Ultra is built for this and the future. Now, just to be clear YouTube takes awhile to ready the files in rec2020 so you may see this before it is actually in HDR format for YouTube. Check the settings for nerds to confirm rec2020.
