The TIKTOK DIY 30% Chemical Peel….GONE WRONG 😭

Instagram - james_s_welsh Unboxing Channel - @JaymesPlays1 A man on TikTok has gone viral after documenting himself performing a 30% TCA chemical peel at home! And skincare professionals watching the process have become....increasingly concerned lets say. In today’s video, i'm looking at what actually happened during the viral peel, why professionals were concerned about the way the TCA was applied, the risks of aggressive chemical peels (particularly for deeper skin tones) and why the healing process matters just as much as the initial peel itself! Whilst this video is shocking....It didn't suprise me! Social media has made some pretty extreme procedures feel surprisingly normal. I genuinely hope his skin continues to heal well, and this video isn’t about mocking someone for making a mistake. But I do think this story raises some important questions about beauty culture, social media and our obsession with trying to “fix” perfectly "normal" looking skin.
