MONTE BALDO – Traversata sulla dorsale sud: da Malga Valfredda a Cima Costabella e Punta Telegrafo

Route Description We started from Malga Valfredda and, after crossing a forested section on a fairly fast trail, we soon reached the ridge, where the view of Lake Garda begins to reveal itself on the opposite side. Following the ridge, we first reached the Fiori del Baldo Refuge, then the Chierego Refuge. From here, a steep and direct trail led us to the summit of Cima Costabella. From the summit, we descended to the Bocchetta del Col Santo and continued along the ridge, leaving the comfortable military road to follow the higher route that leads to the Col Santo peak and then to the Camino Pass. From here, we continued towards Telegrafo, taking trail EE at a fork, which climbs directly to the Barana Refuge and Cima Telegrafo. For the return trip, we followed the mule track back to the Camino Pass and back to the Bocchetta del Col Santo, where we took the trail for experienced hikers that leads to the Chierego Refuge.
