Dear God, don't let me ever forget YOUR LOVE | Daily Prayer | 8/17/2025

Heavenly Father, I approach Your throne not with pride in my hands but with trembling awe in my heart, for I come only as one rescued by mercy and held by grace. I am not worthy of such love, and yet You chose me—You called me Your own while I was still marred by rebellion and clothed in shame. You, the Holy One who commands the stars and speaks creation into existence, stooped down in compassion to lift me from the dust. Jesus, You were wounded so I could be whole, forsaken so I would never be abandoned—what infinite grace flows from Your pierced hands. Let me never grow numb to Calvary’s cry, nor forget what it cost You to call me free. Your Word says, “He was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities.” (Isaiah 53:5) I receive, Lord, not a religion of effort, but the reality of redemption—undeserved, unearned, and yet completely mine in Christ. Though I once walked in darkness, You have lit my path with the flame of Your Word that guides me home. When the weight of my failures presses heavy like stones upon my chest, remind me that You rolled away the stone from the tomb, and with it, my condemnation. Let the truth of the cross burn in me brighter than the lies of this world that seek to dim my hope. I declare that my righteousness is as filthy rags apart from Christ, but in Him, I am clothed in white garments not my own. You bore my shame so I no longer have to hide; You took my place so I could take Your peace. Jesus, when the world demands perfection, draw me again to Your declaration: “It is finished.” Your mercy is the river that runs through my dry ground, restoring even what I was sure could never flourish again. Let my thanksgiving rise like incense, day and night, as a constant offering before the One who set me free. Even when storms brew and I feel shaken, You remain the unmovable rock beneath my weary feet. When my heart is prone to wander, be the Shepherd who leaves the ninety-nine to bring me back into Your fold. Your Word says, “The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” (Psalm 34:18) So I confess that I am broken, Lord—shattered in ways I cannot fix—but You are near, and that is enough. Make my worship less about words and more about the posture of a heart that remembers the hill where grace bled empty. Remind me daily that grace is not a doctrine only to be learned, but a song to be lived and a cross to be carried with joy. Let every breath I draw be spent in grateful praise to the One who has purchased me with His own blood. May I never treat Your sacrifice as common, but lift high the name of Jesus like a banner in weary times. You have not called me to perform but to abide, not to earn but to believe, not to exhaust but to receive. Where the world trades truth for compromise, let me stand firm with a heart ignited by the fire of Your Word. I long to live as one who knows the price of grace, and to love as one whose debt has been forgiven beyond measure. Take me deeper, Lord—deeper into humility, into trust, and into the boundless depths of Your never-ending love. Thank You that I am not sustained by my faithfulness to You, but forever held by Your faithfulness to me. I surrender again today, laying down striving and picking up the cross of mercy, which is light because You carry the weight with me.
