DanceSyndrome & Down For Dance Collaboration

During the pandemic, the new technologies that allowed the world to stay connected enabled us to form a partnership with @DownForDance in California. Our two organisations are so closely aligned in values that we have been wanting to reconnect with them and find new opportunities to work together and share our inclusive dance practices ever since that first project. We have been excited to be able to make this happen in 2024! Supported by a Dance Artist from each company, participants from the two groups came together online to co-produce the choreography for the beautiful piece shared in this video. This project shows that whilst many people have moved back towards in person connection again post-pandemic, there is still a need for technology like Zoom to keep dance practices fully inclusive.
