We can also remove bottom covers: the left side as an example (Phillips screws): 1:52 Draining the old oil and replacing the oil filter are shown in another video. In short: 2:02 Remove valve cover (8 mm wrench). 2:41 Disconnect the hoses and plugs, unscrew the spark plug. 3:13 Remove the throttle (Torx Security T30, Allen key [Inbus] H5). 4:07 Remove the exhaust pipe (13 mm wrench). 4:38 Remove the water pump (8 mm wrench). Top bolt is longer 5:22 Set the piston to Top Dead Centre Turn the crankshaft (the primary sheave nut [variator] - 19 mm wrench), to align the marks: 1 - above oil dipstick 2 - under the [removed] water pump 5:34 The inspection window above the oil dipstick: 6:02 It looks like we are close but it's not compression stroke - camshaft sprocket is in wrong position 6:11 So we keep turning the crankshaft (screwdriver in the spark plug hole shows the piston position). 6:31 If the timing chain isn't properly mounted, the mark on the camshaft sprocket won't align perfectly (we will remove the timing chain anyway). 6:37 The most important thing is lining up the mark in the inspection window. This should ensure the piston is in the correct stroke and position. 6:45 Unscrew the camshaft sprocket (12 mm wrench). 7:07 Remove the timing chain tensioner (Allen key [Inbus] H5). 7:18 Remove the camshaft sprocket. 7:28 Unscrew the cylinder head and the cylinder: 2x H5 Allen key [Inbus] timing chain side, 4x 12 mm nuts inside. 9:31 Remove the piston. The circle marks the exhaust side (the bottom). The cylinder/piston unboxing: 11:13 Installation: 11:53 10:21 Remove the cylinder gasket. 10:50 Extract the remaining oil. 11:13 The new cylinder and piston. 11:52 The new cylinder and piston installation. Always use new oil for installation! 11:57 Install the piston rings as shown in the illustration: 15:21 The new cylinder didn't have draining coolant bolt (10 mm wrench). 16:19 We checked valves clearance (8 mm wrench). Intake valves: 0,10 - 0,14 mm Exhaust valves: 0,22 - 0,26 mm 17:07 The cylinder head installation (nuts inside - 22 Nm, bolts on the pump side - 10 Nm). 19:11 Check the piston position and install the camshaft sprocket correctly. 19:55 Install timing chain tensioner (10 Nm). Before installing the tensioner turn it clockwise to lock it (isn't shown in this video). After installing the tensioner unlock it by turning counterclockwise. 20:32 Turn the crankshaft to check if everything is ok 20:48 Check the valves clearance. 20:57 Install other elements. 24:11 Fill with the new oil. It's necessary to add/change coolant. ------- Music from #Uppbeat (free for Creators!): https://uppbeat.io/t/pecan-pie/vlog-king License code: BBOTI5VADXRSPQLJ -------
