Marin's Dairy History, a presentation for the Marin History Museum - April 25, 2023
The talk covers the history of the dairy industry in California's Marin County (just north of San Francisco), with special focus on the Azorean Portuguese and Swiss Italian immigrants who contributed so much to it. I also discuss the Marin Dairy Project which has identified approximately 400 sites of dairies that operated in Marin over the years. Today, only twenty cows milk dairies remain.
