Manuel Göttsching & Cirklen Performs Inventions for Electric Guitar live, FoEG, Copenhagen 20200911
FoEG 2020, Koncertkirken, Blågårds Plads, København. Concert at Festival of Endless Gratitude 2020, Copenhagen 20200911. Equal parts krautrock icon, guitarhero and godfather of electronic dance music, Manuel Göttsching will hardly need any introduction. In 1975 Göttsching initiated his solo career after having released a handful of records with kosmische freeform trio Ash Ra Temple. For FoEG2020 he teams up with Cirklen (the Circle) to perform the music from his first solo efforts in 1975: Inventions for Electric Guitar. This performance is part of the German-Danish Cultural Friendship Year 2020 – a comprehensive and collaborative initiative of the German Federal Foreign Office and the Goethe-Institut, celebrating and developing the decades-long relationship grounded in common values and interests, setting an international example of peaceful coexistence in the 21st Century.
