Celebrating Women in the UPDF: Brig. Gen. Charity Bainababo’s Inspiring Journey

Uganda on March 8th, 2026, will join the rest of the world to celebrate the international women's day, however, in our special edition coverage about the journey of gender equality and women emancipation in Uganda, we look at one of UPDF's distinguished female officer who has made it from grass to grace, Brig Gen. Charity Bainababo who has steadily risen through the ranks majorly in the elite presidential force, the Special Forces Command (SFC) to the main UPDF general outfit.
