Probably my craziest concert experience ever. Concert: @LinkinPark Support: @grandson Crowd: 16,000 Venue: Barclays Arena City: Hamburg Number of times live: 3 Number of pits: 4 Ranking: 🤯🫠🥹😤🥵😵‍💫🥰 Seriously, I have no idea what to write here. My craziest summer ever is officially over and culminated in Linkin Park's comeback in Hamburg!! 🫠 Actually, I was there for the @reeperbahnfestival (see my last post). We already spotted some telltale signs on Thursday that something was going to happen this weekend. 👀 Somewhat naively, we imagined a Linkin Park gig on the Reeperbahn, like Kraftklub did two years ago. But the QR code brought some clarity. Hamburg is becoming Linkin Park City. 🧐 Street performers, a drone show, hidden tickets, and a fan meet-up where you could win tickets for Sunday's show. From that moment on, it was hard for me to focus solely on the festival. 🤔 After @paul narrowly missed finding tickets, we went to the fan meet-up at the small karaoke bar @thaioase on Saturday. Everyone got a number, and a winner was drawn every hour. My number, 89, came up, and I started screaming. From that moment on, my brain stopped working and hasn't started working again since. 🤯 My emotions, this whole crazy story, it's all far too absurd to write about... 😅 A quick word about the concert: Surreal. Grandson did a great job of filling that huge stage with just three people and asked us if we were ready to make history. Honestly? NO. His entrance alone was already pushing me to the limit. 🥲 Then perhaps the most important band of our generation took the stage. From then on, it was a 130-minute spectacle. Body spasms, wild screams, a world premiere, utter disbelief. I cried seven times.
