Fender Custom Shop Relics: Waste! or Worth it?

Everybody loves Strats. But when it comes down to relicing you either hate it or love it. What are the different levels of relicing at the Fender Custom Shop? In this video I will tell a bit about the history of relicing of Fender Stratocasters. Show you a real 1996 Cunetto Relic Strat. I will talk you through al the different levels of relicing: New Old Stock (NOS), Closet Classic, Journeyman, Relic, Heavy Relic and Super Heavy Relic. Since ‘54 every Fender Stratocaster is different. Neck profile, pickups, weights, kind of woods used, fingerboard, finish, Custom Shop or reissue. Even if you have two Strats of the same year, the same type and the same setup, they will not sound and play the same. My advice, buy a used Strat. It will hold its value, so you will play for free!
