In this video, we're looking at an intermediate, level 2–3 surfer. As he rotates his board around to set up for a carve, notice that both of his arms are reaching across to his toe-side rail. Right away, there's a simple fix: if he just opened up his left shoulder and turned it back toward the wave, he'd see a huge difference in how this turn executes.
