This Is What Farming Looks Like When Money Is Tight

Every weekend brings another chapter in our journey to build a sustainable farm in rural Zimbabwe. In this video, I start from our home in the city where we’re raising broiler chickens and roadrunners before moving them to the farm. Then I travel back to the village to continue building our dream. The plan was to plant another 2,000 onions, but life had other ideas. I didn’t have enough money to buy them, so instead of giving up, I replanted 300 onions into a bed where some had wilted. Progress may be slower than I hoped, but every onion planted is one more step forward. I also harvested fresh produce from the garden and shared another honest day of farm life. Thank you for following this journey. Your support, comments, and encouragement help keep this dream alive. 🌱 Current Onion Challenge: Building towards 20,000 onions, one step at a time. Other weeks, you can only afford 300. But the dream doesn’t stop because the budget got smaller. Welcome back to another chapter of building our farm, one step at a time.” #homesteadlife #rurallife #offgridliving
