My guide for the best things to do in The Lake District. The Lake District is a national park in England. Not only is it the largest national park in England, but it also contains the highest peak in England (Scafell Pike) and the biggest lake in England (Lake Windermere). So you can see why it’s the most visited national park in the UK. So here is my top 10 things to do whilst in The Lake District that you might not have thought about! Amazing views over the entire lake district from the summit Helvellyn is definitely a must! You can also visit the amazing Victorian house overlooking lake Windermere, Wray Castle.
