Our emotions are part of our whole being, along with our thoughts, feelings, etc. That's why God exhorts us to guard our hearts: “Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it,” Proverbs 4:23. What did Jesus say about emotions? We cannot do it with our own strength; it is His Word and His Spirit that empower us to resist temptation. It's not wrong to feel tempted, but it is wrong to give in to temptation. Manage your emotions; don't let them control you! What does the Bible tell us about our thoughts? When we allow Him to renew our minds with His truth, everything changes. His Word destroys every thought that leads us away from His purpose and guides us toward a full life. “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind” (Romans 12:2).
