NEW CD Player / DAC - Audia FLCD Three S

The new AUDIA FLIGHT FLCD THREE S, a CD/SACD player that inherits the elegance of the THREE S range, housed in a solid chassis with a 10 mm thick aluminium front panel. At the centre of the front panel is a large blue OLED screen displaying all the useful information, which can be operated with a single hand using a remote control also cut from aluminium. The mechanics are of European origin, dedicated and optimised for CD playback, and are not computer drive salvage... Conversion is entrusted to two Velvet Sound technology AKM4493EQs, one per channel. There is a choice of 6 PCM digital filters, one of which is a modernised version of the original filter used on the CD ONE. The power supply employs two toroidal transformers: one of 58 VA for the analogue section, including the processing of the analogue output of the converters, and another of 36 VA for the digital section. All inputs are isolated for maximum silence and can be optionally upsampled to 32/784. The USB input accepts the 32/384 PCM format and DSD x512, enabling the device to be used as a high-performance stand-alone DAC.
