Honestly, the trailer doesn't reveal too much about the story, which is exactly what makes it intriguing. From what I could understand, this looks like a suspense thriller that wants to keep its biggest secrets hidden until the movie releases. The atmosphere, cinematography, and storytelling style strongly suggest that this could be a Malayalam thriller, even though the version I watched is dubbed in Hindi. One thing I noticed is that many of the locations, characters, and visuals feel rooted in Kerala, which further adds to that Malayalam cinema vibe. And if there's one industry that consistently delivers gripping thrillers and police-investigation dramas, it's Malayalam cinema. Time and again, they have proven how effectively they can create suspense, mystery, and realistic storytelling. As for the trailer itself, it appears to revolve around a mother and her child. From what the teaser hints at, the mother seems to be carrying a mysterious past. She keeps changing locations, identities, and surroundings while travelling with her son. Every new place appears to be a fresh beginning, but it also feels like she's constantly running from something. The biggest questions are: What happened in her past? Why is she forced to keep moving? Who is she hiding from? And how is the child connected to the mystery? The trailer cleverly avoids answering these questions, making the film even more interesting. The performances look promising, and the emotional bond between the mother and son could become the heart of the story. Combined with the suspenseful setup, this has all the ingredients of a gripping thriller. Overall, Balan: The Boy looks like a mystery-driven suspense thriller that has successfully created curiosity without revealing too much.
