2023 - WESTERN MEDITERRANEAN TOUR ON MSC CRUISE SHIP - 1    • MSC CRUİSE GEMİSİ İLE BATI AKDENİZ TURU -1...   We're embarking on a cruise to the Eastern Mediterranean. On our 10-night, 11-day cruise, we'll be calling at ports in Spain, France, Italy, and then Morocco. We were very pleased, and for those curious, we've included information about the ship and its stops. I hope you enjoy it. On the second day, our ship docked in Alicante, another coastal city in Spain. This city is part of the autonomous community of Valencia and the capital of the Costa Blanca resort region. This western coast of Spain is Catalan, and the Catalans call it Alacant. The ship also had a tour of Elche, but we chose to tour in Alicante ourselves. Getting around Spain by taxi is easy. There's a Free taxi service like Uber; prices are similar to Antalya. Compared to the Eurozone, it's cheap. After visiting the Volvo Ocean Race Museum in port, which we found particularly interesting, and looking out over the city from the medieval castle, we toured the old town.
