40. El-Hasîb

Close your eyes and take a deep breath... 🌿 Now consider this: When it was said, "People have gathered against you, fear them!" the faith of the Companions did not diminish, it increased, and they uttered a single sentence: "Hasbunallah — Allah is sufficient for us, He is the best disposer of affairs." On one side, a vast world against them, on the other, a Lord who suffices for His servant... And there is another side to the same name: One day the book will be revealed, and people will say in astonishment: "What kind of book is this that has recorded everything, small and large, without omission!" The One who suffices for His servants and the One who will hold His servants accountable — both are the same name: Al-Hasib. So, are you ready today to settle your own accounts before He holds you accountable? In this video of remembrance and contemplation, we delve into the depths of the name Al-Hasib, one of the Beautiful Names of Allah, who suffices for His servants and will hold them accountable for their deeds. The worldly aspect of this name is one of serenity: the motto "Hasbunallah" (Allah is sufficient for us), inherited from Abraham, is the refuge of monotheists in the face of difficulties — Allah suffices His servant against those who seek to deceive and those who turn away. The aspect that looks towards the hereafter is one of seriousness: on that day, Allah will have counted and recorded everything; people may forget, but He has not. Good and evil, down to the smallest particle, will be seen; mouths will be sealed, and hands and feet will bear witness. These two aspects converge in a single balance of servitude, and the prophetic measure clarifies this: "The wise person is one who holds himself accountable and works for what comes after death." Umar's timeless advice also leads to the same conclusion: "Hold yourselves accountable before you are held accountable; the Day of Judgment will be easy for those who held themselves accountable in this world." Accountability is a rehearsal for the hereafter — even the accounting of a single day tires a person, but this weariness is lighter than the weariness of the Day of Judgment. During the recitation of Zikr, with gentle transitions, you will instill in your heart the question, "What have I presented for tomorrow?" with each repetition, embarking on the path to becoming a servant whose reckoning is easy. ✨ If you are ready, our journey of contemplation begins. 🎙️ *Key Dimensions in This Zikr and Contemplation:* 🤲 *The Awareness of "Hasbunallah" (Allah is sufficient for me):* To possess the unwavering strength to say, "Allah is sufficient for me, He is the Lord of the Great Throne," when enemies multiply, resources are exhausted, and everyone turns away. To know that He who has a Lord sufficient for His servant will never be alone in any reckoning. 📖 *Nothing is Forgotten:* To remember that Allah counts and records what we forget; that even the smallest amount of good or evil will one day confront us. To see that forgetting the reality of accountability leads to heedlessness, while remembering it leads to piety, and to organize today with an awareness of the hereafter. 🪞 *Accounting Before the Reckoning:* Making each prayer a moment of self-reflection: giving thanks for the good deeds done in the past, repenting for shortcomings, and seeking help from Allah for the future.
