The Cuckoo Way part 2
The Cuckoo Way part 2 is the last part of this 2 part hike. This 46 mile long distance trail that follows the historical Chesterfield Canal known as the Cuckoo Dyke through Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire this is Part 2 of 2 of this multi day walk. On the second part of the Cuckoo Way I walk from Worksop to West Stockwith, via Retford along the canal. The canal opened nearly 250 years ago and is presently being restored by the Chesterfield Canal Trust, to be a fully navigable canal once again. This walk combines nature and history as we walk its length and find out why it is named the Cuckoo Way. https://chesterfield-canal-trust.org.uk/ 00:00 Intro 03:34 Chesterfield Canal Trust Volunteers 07:15 Cuckoo Wharf Worksop 11:35 Bracebridge Pumping Station 11:49 The Dukeries 16:40 Osberton Hall 24:43 Forest Lock 29:20 Retford Town Lock 31:29 Retford final day 33:44 Bridge Rope Grooves 40:20 Clayworth 44:04 Wiseton Hall 46:34 Drakeholes Tunnel 51:07 Shaws bridge 53:02 Misterton 55:18 West Stockwith Please - Like - Comment - Subscribe - Share Thanks for Watching Andy the Expedition Hiker
