Cast Iron Dutch Oven Roast Chicken

November 2, 2024: On TikTok Live, we prepared a roast chicken using what may be the fastest and easiest way to roast a chicken in cast iron. This chicken was cooked in a blazing hot 500 degree cast iron dutch oven for only 45 minutes, and the result was a tasty, jucy, and thoroughly cooked chicken. The skin did stick to the bottom of the pot in this video, unfortunately; but that hardly meant the chicken was ruined. I love using this method to make fast and easy roast chicken, and I certainly recommend giving this a try -- as long as you take precautions and keep safe! A 500 degree hot cast iron dutch oven can be dangerous, so keep the kids out of the kitchen when you make this.
