Follow us as we post-hole through deep re-frozen snow all for a chance to have a nice and relaxing camp-out. Although it didn't turn out that way, it was still a great adventure. On this trip I decided to bring a new tarp shelter I had recently purchased and combine it with natural bedding for a different experience. The dog and I enjoyed some delicious pork ribs over the open flame, some sausages, some eggs, and my favourite, an age old recipe for "ash cakes" from the 1800's.
