(Wo)Man discovers fire. (Wo)Man becomes obsessed with fire. One cooks, warms herself, communes around this most basic element. What is the magic of fire? When it burns, what exactly is happening? Something we can't see becomes volatile, it consumes. Hypnotizing. Mesmerizing. These are the qualities that draw us in. We harness the flame, try to control and contain. We were commissioned to create a large vessel in which fire could be presented, shared, and enjoyed. We hope you'll enjoy watching the process.
