A case of mistaken identity allows her to get a job at the multinational textile company Sarte, headed by Nejat Sarsılmaz, as the personal assistant to Nejat's son, Murat's assistant, Cağla. Originally, the job was meant for Suna Pektas, a friend of the Sarsılmaz family. Nejat's eldest son and heir, Murat Sarsılmaz, begins to fall in love with Hayat. This sparks jealousy in Murat's ex-girlfriend, Didem, the company's top model. Jealousy leads Murat to push Hayat away, but he pursues her and apologizes, eventually firing Didem for her involvement in the scheme. Murat takes Hayat to his house to recover from a panic attack caused by Didem, and they bond. But then Didem arrives, claiming she's pregnant. Later, Hayat learns from her friend Asli that Didem falsified her hospital tests. Murat is distraught but accepts his responsibility to marry Didem. Both families meet and arrange the wedding.
